Our Story
Star Farm Chicago is a non-profit urban farm and landscaping service established in 2016 in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
Growing Food. Growing Community. Growing Futures.
We work to increase access of local organic produce through farmers markets, pop-ups, delivery, and our local foods co-op. On the farm, we create an inclusive space by providing local jobs, vocational training and horticultural therapy to people with disabilities, employment barriers, and empowering women.
Through our work, we hope to inspire the next generation of urban growers and food justice advocates while improving the long term health and mental health outcomes of the community.

A Message from our Founder
At Star Farm, we're trying to make it easy for you to be more sustainable — whether that's supporting local urban ag or letting us help you grow your own food and raise your own chickens right here in the city. Our goal is to grow more farmers, and the next generation of local food advocates and entrepreneurs.
Please enjoy our intentionally curated selection of vegetables, fruit, and flowers from our farm and partner farms within 300 miles of Chicago!
